Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving!  Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday.  It is such a great time to reflect on what we are thankful for in our lives.  I am thankful for my family, and all of my awesome students!!  Speaking of students we have a  big belt test coming up on Saturday. Here is a list of the people that are testing.  All of these people have worked extremely hard, and in some cases, overcome some incredible obstacles to get where they are.  I am proud and honored to be their professor.  Children’s test is 2-3pm.  Adults 3-4pm.  Open House & Celebration at my house immediately following the promotions! I hope to see you all there!!

Great Time at WeaponCraft

Christine Troy and I had a great time training at WeaponCraft this weekend!  Troy has been telling me about this place for awhile, so on Saturday Christine and I joined Troy for a day of Tactical Shooting.  Shooting is a martial art, in and of itself, and is great to help develop focus, concentration, and breath control.  Plus, it is tons of fun!!  Thank you to Peter and all the other instructors.  Check them out at  www.weaponcrafttraining.com

Skirmish

It is not very often that I go to a tournament and actually enjoy myself, but I have to say that Sunday was an awesome day all around.  The sportsmanship and camaraderie that was displayed by everyone was truly amazing.  Especially considering that for many of the kids that went, it was their first time competing. I was so proud of everyone, and while we brought home lots of medals and trophies, to me, anyone who steps on the mat is a winner.

Instructor Training

I will be having my Instructor Training Course November 25th and 26th from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM both days.  Immediately following on Saturday the 26th we will be having Children’s and Adult Belt Promotions.  Children will be Saturday from 2:00-3:00 PM and Adults will be from 3:00-4:00 PM. We will be having a celebration at my house starting at 4:30 PM.
